On the day of the final show I was amazed to find that they were literally cramming eveyone in. Almost 700 kids in one venue. The funniest part though was all of the presenters turning up to find that they didn’t have any chairs…
A very quick recap of the events in the Rainton Meadows Arena. Who would have thought that an engineering job could be so much fun?
Being joined by Sarah for the opening day of the Youth Engineering Show, we quickly got to grips with the work that had to be done. Even though the prospect of presenting in front of up to 700 kids at a time was quite daunting, it was not actually the hardest part. In the exit tent afterwards we were overwhelmed with questions by eager and enthusiastic school children!
In addition to all of that, the evening was spent performing the show to almost 500 VIPs (including the mayors of Sunderland and Newcastle I may add). A long day, but a fun one:

The North East Youth Engineering Show presents to thousands of children in the North East (I may overexaggerate on the numbers in the first video; I believe it is around 7000) in order to get them enthusiastic about Engineering.
