One of many projects I am currently working on involves taking a product worth less than £20 and made from 3 components or less and redesigning it. As you can imagine, the range of products that have been chosen is vast, but i have decided to focus on designing a business card holder for Moo.
There are however some interesting pieces of design that I have found that relate to other people’s projects, so here are a few links;
Ice cube trays – a massive collection of various designs <
The construction of Settlers, one of the world’s biggest selling board games that I hadn’t even heard of <
MIT design what I think could eventually beat the iPhone… let us see how long it takes for either Microsoft or Google to buy it… <
A cost calculator for freelancers <
A really nice idea for a fruit bowl, perhaps it could be adapted for other things such as drying boards <
And finally, my favourite image from FailBlog this month so far, just because I think it is pure genius and appeals to my student / engineering humour <
